Acceptable Use Policy
Version 2026-10-01 · Effective 1 October 2026 · Last updated 2 October 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may not create or do with Script2Reel. It applies to everything you submit (briefs, scripts, documents, logos, data) and to every video and file the Service produces. It is part of our Terms of Service.
We built Script2Reel for explainer videos: teaching, product walkthroughs, reports, news summaries and stories. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us through the Help page before you create it.
News, current affairs, education, documentaries and public-information or social campaigns (such as disease prevention, road safety or disaster preparedness) are welcome, including when they show accidents, disasters, war, protests or politics. A sensitive subject alone is not a reason for us to refuse your content. If a photo or clip you upload may show something sensitive (for example injuries, weapons or nudity), we may ask you for one sentence about what it shows and how you will use it before it can be used in a video.
1. Real people, impersonation and deepfakes
Do not create content that:
- makes it look as if a real, identifiable person said or did something they did not, or uses their name, likeness or voice without their consent;
- impersonates a person, company, government body or organisation, or falsely suggests that they endorse or are connected with you;
- shows a real person in sexual, intimate, humiliating or degrading situations;
- is designed to pass as genuine footage of real events that did not happen.
Commentary, parody and satire about public figures are allowed only when it is obvious to viewers that the content is not real and it is labelled as AI-generated.
2. Children
We have zero tolerance for content that sexualises, exploits, endangers or targets minors. We remove it, close the account and report it to the relevant authorities, such as NCMEC.
3. Hate, harassment and violence
Do not create content that:
- attacks or dehumanises people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or serious illness;
- harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone, or reveals someone's private information (such as a home address or ID number);
- promotes, glorifies or incites violence, terrorism or violent extremism, or supports groups that do;
- encourages suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
4. Sexual content
Do not create sexually explicit or pornographic content, or content that promotes sexual services.
5. Fraud, deception and spam
Do not use the Service for scams, phishing, fake giveaways, fake reviews or testimonials, pyramid or "get rich quick" schemes, counterfeit goods, or bulk unsolicited content. Do not present AI-generated content as a real recording or as human-made in a way that could mislead people.
6. Elections and civic processes
You may make neutral, accurate educational videos about politics and elections. Do not create:
- false or misleading information about voting, census or other civic processes (such as when, where or how to vote, or who may vote);
- content that impersonates candidates, officials or election bodies;
- political campaign advertising or content intended to discourage people from voting.
7. Health, finance and legal topics
Educational content on these topics is welcome, but do not create content that:
- gives false or dangerous health claims (for example that a product cures a serious disease, or that people should stop prescribed treatment), or presents itself as advice from a doctor or licensed professional when it is not;
- promotes financial scams, guaranteed returns, unlicensed investment schemes or misleading financial claims;
- claims to be legal advice from a lawyer when it is not.
8. Dangerous and illegal activities
Do not create content that gives instructions for making weapons, explosives or illegal drugs, or that promotes illegal activity, the sale of regulated goods without the required licence, or content that is illegal in the country where you live or where the video is published (including content prohibited under Vietnamese law).
9. Intellectual property and privacy
- Submit only material you own or have permission to use. Do not create content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, for example by reproducing someone else's video, book, artwork or brand without permission.
- Do not include other people's personal data (such as names with contact details, ID numbers, health or financial information) unless you have a lawful basis to use it.
10. Stock media, voices and AI markers
- Do not resell or redistribute stock clips, images or music from your videos on their own, or use them to suggest that people or brands shown endorse you.
- Do not present a synthetic voice as the voice of a real, identifiable person.
- The Service's AI image generator does not create people or human-like faces; people who appear in your videos come from licensed stock photos and footage.
- Photos and clips that you upload yourself may show people. You are responsible for having the rights to that media and the consent of identifiable people shown in it; we use it only to make your own videos.
- Do not remove, alter or hide watermarks, AI markers, metadata or content credentials that we or our providers add to Output.
11. Protecting the Service
Do not:
- try to get around our safety checks or usage limits (for example by disguising prohibited requests or by "prompt injection");
- create multiple accounts to collect free credits, or share or resell access to your account;
- access the Service by automated means other than our published API, scrape it, overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or reverse engineer it;
- use the Service or Output to build a competing stock-media library or to train AI models.
12. How we enforce this policy
We check briefs, documents and videos with automated tools and, where needed, human review. Depending on how serious a problem is, we may refuse a request, remove a video, limit features, suspend or close an account, and report illegal content to the authorities. When we act against your content or account, we tell you the reason and how to appeal, unless the law or safety prevents it. You can appeal by replying to our message or through the Help page.
13. Reporting
If you see content made with Script2Reel that breaks this policy, report it on the Help page (choose "Report content or misuse") or email support@script2reel.app. Reports about children, real-person deepfakes and threats are reviewed first.
